He has been disappointed that the maps are old. Not great customer service in my book. I purchased this for my husband. When he contacted the company, he had to pay $10 for an update, less than one month after purchase.
This item has a nice large visible screen and large icons, very easy to use and not frustrating to figure out. I bought this GPS for my father in law for Christmas. Excellent value for your Buck.
A good unit that is one step above basic gps'; Good display; Easy to use. A good value.
this gps had everything i wanted it was a gift for my sister for Christmas and it was her first gps so i needed something easy to work with and it wasn't pricey compared to other places; i have one just the same and it works wonders my husband is not too big on asking for directions and he doesn't know much about the road so we bought one a couple of months ago and it was a lifesaver so overall i would totally recommend this product.
Sudenly, one day it stopped functioning bcs it was nearly 4 yrs old so I decided to go for another magellan product on www.amazon.com which I love shopping ONLINE. The letters & road directions are much bigger on 4.3 inch widescreen than TOM TOM or Garmin.

You can see it yourself. Pls tell UPS drivers to ring the bell all the time when they come to deliver the shipment.
I've used for more than 17 months Magellan Maestro 4040 which was given by my sister to use it. I got this product for the price I was looking & I'm very happy with it.
The only problem was with UPS who didn't ring my door bell despite I was at home.
